The people begin with FIVE OUT, which features five reports from the sports industry, starting with Team USA defeating Team Canada last night in a Las Vegas show game. While the rest of the club may be catching up in terms of best rank sports skill, USA also has a distinct advantage in depth, and their bench unit showed it against Canada.
That bench device was without Kawhi Leonard, who is no more with Team USA amid some concerning investigating around the health of his leg. Otherwise, he's going to use the season to get ready for the next Clippers time and his position is being taken by Derrick White, which caused some wounded feelings with his Celtics teammate Jaylen Brown.
Cooper Flagg, the 17 year aged going to Duke who is probably going to be the# 1 pull in next week's draft, was quite remarkable playing on the limited team against Team USA. A performance like that against all of these future Hall of Famers would be amazing, but it would be one thing against ordinary NBA people.
After some free agency talk ( Saddiq Bey signing with the Wizards, possible extensions coming for Jalen Brunson and Lauri Markkanen ), the guys turn their attention to the Miami Heat. Caleb Martin was recently replaced by the opposing 76ers, and the majority of the Heat's squad from two years ago is no longer there. Is this the next go around with Jimmy Butler's Warmth?
Lastly, as a way to preview the NBA Las Vegas Summer League, the people each get a quarterback that they'll become watching and a second-year player that they're hoping makes the move when the activities kick off tomorrow.
