Following their most recent Premier League title win, Pep Guardiola's long-term coming at Manchester City has been a source of speculating.
On the rumor that Pep Guardiola might want to leave Manchester City for good second summers, Noel Gallagher has offered his opinion.
In the wake of City's record-breaking third consecutive Premier League title, several reports suggested Guardiola might be ready to call the end of his trophy-filled tenure at the Eithad next summer, when he would have finished his seventh year in charge, which would likely be his longest managerial tenure to date.
Guardiola's existing lease expires in the summer of 2025, which supports this speculative theory, but Gallagher, a former Paradise celebrity, claims that his close relationships with the 53-year-old reveal more details.
“ I speak to him quite a bit and he’s not given me any inkling that he’s no 1,000 per cent happy life in Manchester, ” Gallagher told The Athletic. “ I can play you texts where you’d go, ‘That does n’t sound like anyone is retiring from football soon’. He texts me and mentions his enthusiasm for the team in words notes. He’s one of us, think me. ”
Following next month's most recent headline win, Guardiola admitted he was "exhausted," sparking questions about his need for a new outlet.
Gallagher inquires where he will get a new challenge if the original Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager does.
“A fine 50 per cent of me thinks he’s going to stay, nevertheless. Because where’s he going to get? He won’t leave, as he’s younger than me. He won’t come to Italy, as there’s no cash in it. He’s previously done Germany. He’s no going again to Barcelona. America? Sometimes. But he’s a company, a hero, he’s an encouraging bro.
