Turkey's Euro 2024 battle kicked off with a bang with Mert Muldur's goal, one of which they have so far scored.

For their entry Group F game, the Turks had little time to spoil the party for their competitors, who were playing against game debutants Georgia in Dortmund.

Turkey entered the game with a 35-place lead over Georgia, who were 75th overall in the Gaming world rankings before Germany, who were determined to show off this alleged superiority.

And after an interesting beginning second 25 minutes, it was Vincenzo Montella's part who broke the stalemate- and they did it in style.

When a Victorian basketball fell to Fenerbahce right-back Muldur, he was able to use beautiful technique to force a powerful volley past goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili and set the Turks on the right foot.

Before half-time, Georgia was on the verge of finding themselves dead and buried. Turkey scored a second goal just before the first, but the Brazilian referee ruled the effort outright.

But rather, they were immediately level, as Georges Mikautadze's initial- time strike went in at the nearby post after wonderful work on the right- hand side by Giorgi Kochorashvili, who was able to create space for himself and cross the ball in.

That was Georgia's first- always goal in a big event, as Turkey went from thinking they were 2- 0 up to going all- square in a matter of moments.

There was initial uncertainty as to whether or not this activity actually had a lead. Viewers had to run for cover after Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park began leaking, with a sequence of ocean filling the earth.

It's been nothing if not eventful…
