England are said to be keeping an eye on Kieran Trippier's workout back of their Euro 2024 match against Slovenia on Tuesday.
Trippier, a normal right-back, has been filling in for the now excluded Luke Shaw at Euro 2024, with the Newcastle United sun now understood to be'nursing' a baby problem. The 33-year-old was seen receiving medical treatment in the latter stages of the Three Cats ' 1-0 get over Serbia in Gelsenkirchen.
With the original Tottenham player having already played 180 moments in Germany so much, Gareth Southgate now has to make a difficult choice between resting the experienced full-back against Slovenia.
In a statement from Telegraph Sport, Southgate has been managing Trippier's conditioning by switching him to Ezri Konsa and Joe Gomez during training classes, with the Newcastle keeper taking extra care to protect himself from re-injuring himself.
Trippier is also said to be "playing through the pain," with Shaw also recovering from the hamstring injury that kept him out of Manchester United's season's final rounds.
